INFLUENCE
is the prompt this week at I.F
"In the beginning you must subject yourself to the influence of nature. You must be able to walk firmly on the ground before you start walking on a tightrope."
~ Henri Matisse
Above is the floor that I settled on, I like the idea of the fallen leaves.
Falling from her Tasmanian Blue Gum crown maybe?
(The State's representataional flora)
The painting is full symbols providing a timeline, geographic location, flora and fauna and it's volatile existence then and now.
(acrylic on canvas)

Dear Naomi, when I looked at this painting, one word came to my mind: "glorious"! You glorify your homeland in such a beautiful and elegant way. I can feel love, dignity and excitement... People and nature - together. In a strong and moving connection... The idea for the dress is lovely! xx
oh, the falling leaves are so melancholy, and somehow the vines in her hair seem to take energy from her hair enough to flower, make new beauty. Very moving image.
