Mail

This week's prompt at Illustration Friday  is 'Mail'

"It seems a long time since the morning mail could be called correspondence." ~ Jacques Barzun

When I was 12 yrs old, my best friend and I would type letters to each other daily, in code, and sneak them to each other, to later decode and transcribe more detailed diatribe of our nerdy lives. I'd love to get my hands on them now, but I'm not sure I'd have the skill or patience to decode them!?

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas

Hi Naomi, I really liked what you wrote. And, of course, your illustration.
Merry Christmas to you too.

My husband lives/works 450 miles away, we see each other once a month and write real letters to each other twice a week :-) Not in code though (although his writing does take some deciphering sometimes!)

I love the picture!

I love your illustration - I drew a typewriter for IF's 'prehistoric', so I know how much patience it takes.
